When you consider the quality of agricultural land, then obviously the most important factor is the fertility of the soil. However, there are other factors also come into play: the depth of soil, elevation and slope and roughness of the land if the land is cleared or not, irrigation, and the average seasonal rainfall, the amount of sunlight throughout the year seasonal average, the existence of pests or diseases, etc., etc.
